Sunday, 9 June 2013, 19:00 - 21:00: Welcome Reception and Exhibition Opening
The Welcome Reception of IEEE ICC 2013 will take place in the Budapest Ballroom of the Marriott Hotel. Besides tasting some delicious Hungarian nibbles and an excellent selction of Hungarian wines, you will have the chance to contemplate, from the Ballroom Terrace, the gorgeous view of the Buda Castel District, the Royal Palace and the Chain Bridge. This panorama is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage since 1987.
During the Welcome Reception you will also witness the opening of the IEEE ICC 2013 Exhibition, featuring booths from Magyar Telekom, Ericsson, National Instruments, BEEcube, IS Wireless, Wiley, Springer, Cambridge University Press as well as upcomimg major conferences such as IEEE GLOBECOM 2013, IEEE ICC 2014, IEEE GLOBECOM 2014 and IEEE ICC 2015.
The gala Dinner of IEEE ICC 2013 will take place on the Europa Ship, during a beautiful two-hour cruise on the Danube, passing next to many of the landmarks of Budapest, such as the Margaret Island, the Parliament building, the Margaret Bridge, the Chain Bridge, the Erzsébet Bridge and the Liberty Bridge, the Fisherman's Bastion, the Royal Palace, the Gresham Palace or the Gellert Hill.
The Europa Ship is the biggest event ship in Budapest, as it includes an internal roofed area of 920 square meters (9902 square feet), and a huge terrace of of 330 square meters (3552 square feet)
